Ken Fixler leads Barnett Capital’s single-family home investment division. On the equity side, Ken acts as the president of BCL-Home Rehab, a subsidiary of Barnett Capital engaged in the purchase, redevelopment and resale of single-family homes throughout the Chicagoland area. Purchasing vacant homes and updating them to new-construction standards, BCL-Home Rehab helps to stabilize neighborhoods across the greater Chicago area through urban renewal efforts. On the debt side, Ken works to develop and expand Barnett Capital’s residential lending business, BCL-Home Lending. As President of BCL-Home Lending, he supervises lending to other residential developers and renovation specialists, enabling them to make opportunistic acquisitions.

Ken has grown BCL-Home Rehab into the premier redeveloper of single-family homes. Together with BCL-Home Lending’s borrowers, Ken’s single-family home division controls the redevelopment of over 250 single-family homes annually throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Prior to his work at Barnett Capital, Ken founded and ran a company that specialized in the acquisition, development and redevelopment of commercial and mixed-use properties. Ken was also vice president of leasing and development for a builder of suburban shopping centers.

Ken graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in business management from the Kelley School of Business.
