Lin is responsible for supporting the strategic acquisition of distressed commercial properties throughout the Chicagoland area, and providing long-term debt strategies for the Barnett portfolio. Additionally, Lin works closely with lenders to take advantage of opportunities in non-performing notes and provides debt restructuring for borrowers.
Prior to joining Barnett Capital, Lin ran his own real estate investment company for 14 years, which specialized in acquiring and liquidating foreclosed homes via short sales and auctions. Lin has bought and sold over 800 homes and acquired many multi-family properties as part of a rental portfolio. During this span he also operated a real estate brokerage firm and became an underwriter for commercial acquisitions and refinancing. Lin has a bachelor of arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a licensed real estate broker.
